FAQs
Who do you work with?
Adults and teens ages 15+. My work with teens is focused on supporting them with minimal and limited involvement from parents. In rare instances, parents may be brought in with permission and collaboration from the teen.
Are you offering in-person or tele-health appointments?
Both! I prefer meeting clients in-person and appointments are conducted in office (located in Northwest Austin). However, for client convenience and safety purposes, I also offer virtual sessions.
How long is each session?
Each individual session is 55 minutes long.
What is a session with you like?
The first few sessions are an assessment, in which I gather background information about you, understand what brought you to therapy, and establish your therapeutic goals. From there, sessions are much more conversational and collaborative. Typically we check in about your week, review any homework, and follow up on your treatment goals, which may include continuing to delve into a particular topic or practicing a new skill. I welcome tears, laughter, and everything in between!
How much is an Individual Session?
My standard rate is $165 per session.
Do you take insurance?
I am currently not in-network with any insurance companies. However, I am happy to explore options for an out-of-network reimbursement claim with your insurance company. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network reimbursement rates.
What type of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards and HSA accounts.
How often do I need to see you?
I prefer to begin seeing new clients on a weekly basis. This helps us establish rapport and build momentum toward your therapeutic goals. I recognize that maintaining a weekly schedule may not be possible or desirable for everyone in the long-term. I am open to moving toward a biweekly frequency after the first couple of months.
How do I know you are the right therapist for me?
A strong therapeutic relationship is crucial for you to get the most out of therapy. I offer a free 15-minute inital phone consultation to help us determine if we’re a good fit. It provides both of us with an opportunity to get to know each other a little bit before setting up an initial session. However, if after a few weeks or months of seeing me you feel like something isn’t working for you, we can either talk about it and try to work through it together, or I am happy to refer you to another amazing therapist.
